The Buffalo-look truck has won a couple of accolades viz. like the Truck of the year award from Motor Trend magazine in 2008 and named as North American Truck of the Year. This pick-up truck has many common features with its predecessors Toyota T100 and Tacoma.

It is divided into two reigns;

a) First generation (2000-2006)
b) Second generation (2007-Present)

Specs of First gen: Access cab, Stepside and Regular cab come under this category. The engine ranged from 3.4 L to 4.7 L capacity with 190-280 HP. Similarly, the transmission used to be 5 speed manual which gradually developed to 5 speed automatic and 6 speed manual from 2000-2006. It is a staggering 5.525 meters long.

Specs of Sec gen: The appearance is pretty much the same, but here the engine grows from 4.0 – 5.7 L capacity with the generation of around 380 HP which obviously makes it 0.25 meter longer than its counterpart. The transmission is all automatic having an option between 5 and 6 speed.
